This year’s festival will feature a new event to tempt your taste buds. Appealing to a variety of audiences; little chefs in the making to seasoned pros, culinary enthusiasts to novice eaters, CATCH has invited cookbook authors from Nova Scotia, and welcomes guests from away as they feature their literary talents in a cookbook signing.

The Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture is set to host their Annual Oyster Shucking Challenge as part of the CATCH Seafood Festival. The competition will take place at the Cunard Centre (961 Marginal Rd, adjacent to Pier 21, Halifax, Nova Scotia) on Sunday June 20, 2010.

Chef Chuck Hughes has joined the CATCH 2010 lineup with plans to attend the festival on Saturday, June 19 to share his seafood expertise.
