Smoked salmon on a bagel makes for the perfect brunch treat.

3 bagels
1 3oz package cream cheese, softened
8 ounces sliced smoked salmon (lox)

Split bagels horizontally. Toast bagels, if desired. Spread cut surfaces generously with softened cream cheese. Arrange salmon slices (lox) on the six halves. Serve with lemon wedges or freshly ground pepper, if desired. Serve whole, or cut into small wedges and serve for appetizers.

Makes six open-faced sandwiches.
